Sometimes "trends" are the way we come back to classic styles in the denim world. Levi's iconic 501 jean has always had a slight flare to the bottom on the jean. But suddenly in late 90's, early 00's flare was the hottest thing. Yeah, classic shapes made new again.
This is not to say that nothing is new or that things can't be refreshed in fashion but like food, sometimes we just know certain things go together or work like mac and cheese or pb and j. Classic unquestionable great things. But what about when someone creates a pb, j and foie gras or adds lobster to the mac and cheese? How awesome are these new spins on old classics? Pretty damn awesome!
This is kinda how we see the new to Jean Therapy brand Current/Elliott. They took a relaxed and slouchy jean but made it over (with foie gras, kidding!) by giving it a smaller backpocket and adding beautiful soft wanna live in it fabric (pajama jeans, eat your heart out!). A brand started by two Hollywood stylists who wanted to go back to something in a jean that felt very classic and sexy but comfortable! And isn't that what a jean is all about anyway?
